My experience of buying our 4th car in the UK ( as a second car)
This post is about the 4th car we bought in the UK, as a second car for my wife in 2022 to upgrade from this https://omarsguidelines.blogspot.com/2020/10/my-wifes-experience-of-driving-test-and.html We bought an approved used Vaxhuall Corsa ( '17 plate, 14k miles driven, serviced at dealership) for : 100 GBP holding deposit to take the car off the market 1900 GBP deposit 138 GBP a month for 2 years The cost of that car at that time was 8,500. So essentially we paid: 100+1900 + (138x24) = 5,312 GBP for the 2 years. We decided to buy the car off to use it as a part exchange for our next car. The balloon payment was 5,600 which we paid to buy the car. So in total, for a 8,500 GBP car in 2020 , we paid 10,912 GBP in total.
